The incident came to light when the victim father approached the police.
The girl’s family has been threatened with social boycott if they take the matter to the police.
The victim said that she wants stringent action against the accused as well as the member of panchayat.
The girl told the police that she was raped while she was collecting wood in a nearby field.
The police official said that an FIR will be lodged on the basis of investigations.
