Stockholm: This year's Nobel Prize season opens Monday with rumours swirling the peace prize could go to Pakistani girls' education campaigner Malala Yousafzai, Congolese doctor Denis Mukwege or rights activists from Russia or Belarus.

Supreme Court gives voters right to reject all candidates

NEW DELHI: In a landmark judgement on Friday, the Supreme Court for the first time allowed voters to cast negative vote by pressing a button saying none of the candidates is worthy of his vote.

Thanks to the appreciation of the rupee against the US dollar, oil minister Veerappa Moily on Friday indicated at a cut in petrol prices in the next few days. Oil firm sources said that prices could be cut by nearly Rs. 2 a litre.
