Woman’s body found inside iron box near Anand Vihar metro station

A woman's body aged around 25 years was found stuffed into an iron trunk outside Anand Vihar Metro station here Wednesday, police said.

Police said the body was decomposed. The deceased is yet to be identified. However, the woman was wearing a mangalsutra and red clothes.

 

 "The woman was hit on her head with a blunt object.

Police suspect she was murdered elsewhere and the iron box with her body dumped inside was likely brought here in a roadways bus.

The body has been sent to a mortuary.

Police stations across Delhi and NCR have also been alerted about the crime.
